Thirty years after the release of Het is een Nacht, Dutch singer-songwriter Guus Meeuwis headlined the AFAS DOME in Antwerp, one of Belgium's leading indoor arenas, for the first time with a major solo show. Across two memorable nights, his greatest hits were brought together in a powerful production where lighting played a central role in shaping the atmosphere and enhancing the emotional impact of the performance.

The lighting design, programming and operation were handled by Marco Driessen of Light Your Design and Mike Driessen of The Light Package, who selected 48 PROLIGHTS HaluPix Duo panels to define the visual identity of the show. The fixtures illuminated the AFAS DOME with a bold and immersive look, supporting both intimate musical moments and high-energy highlights.

The technical production for the show was managed by Sightline Productions. The fixtures were supplied by Ampco Flashlight Rental, with Full AVL Distribution acting as PROLIGHTS distributor for the Netherlands.

At the core of the design was the HaluPix Duo's unique combination of an RGB + Warm White pixel matrix and a dedicated Warm White beam source. This dual-engine architecture enabled full pixel-level control, allowing the team to create subtle video textures, refined strobe effects and powerful blinder looks. The integration of the RGBWW LED within the WW beam source also made it possible to recreate a classic, old-school Svoboda aesthetic while maintaining a contemporary visual language.

Marco Driessen commented: “Let your creativity run free with the HaluPix Duo, what an output. What a beautiful solution to position the RGBWW LED within the WW beam. This creates a classic, old-school Svoboda look.”

Mike Driessen added: “The HaluPix Duo is a challenging fixture for a programmer to work with, but one I was more than happy to take on for this show and previous ones. The output of the RGBWW LED is next level, this isn't just an LED tile, but a true lighting fixture that can be used as an effect, strobe, or blinder. The warm white beams add a third dimension to this fixture.”

The HaluPix Duo had already been used during Guus Meeuwis' festival tour, once again proving its flexibility, powerful output and ability to deliver multidimensional visual impact in large-scale arena environments.
