P&J Live at TECA, the North of Scotland's new largest events venue, has invested in over 700 PROLIGHTS fixtures to provide premier in-house production services for events ranging from conferences to gala dinner dances.

The largest UK investment of its kind, P&J Live offers world-class facilities. Located next to Aberdeen International Airport and operated by ASM Global, it is tipped to become a major events hub.

P&J Live's goal was to offer premier lighting & AV production services in-house for the venue's flexible, multi-purpose Baker Hughes Exhibition and Conference Hub.

Deputy Operations Manager Technical, Steve Morrison needed a moving wash fixture to provide flexible, high-quality lighting during events. He specified 140 PROLIGHTS Pixie WashXB units after being impressed by their versatility, size and quality of light output.

Steve commented: “These little LED fixtures are really useful to create atmosphere and table lighting for a gala dining experience. Their flexibility is exactly what is required throughout the spaces.”

Steve chose PROLIGHTS for many of the venue's other lighting requirements. The additional 560 LED fixtures included RA 2000Profile, EclProfile HDL, EclFresnel 2K, StudioCob FC, LumiPix 16H and Smart BatPlus.

He added: “Using the Lumipix battens to under-light white scrims has created a more intimate look for dinner dances to great effect. Our production team is really pleased with the end result.”

Summarising his experience with the fixtures, Steve commented: “With the sheer scale and volume of equipment involved in this project, we needed to carefully control our budget.
