The Angioino Aragonese Castle, an important historical site in Gaeta, has been illuminated by PROLIGHTS projectors. The project, developed by the PROLIGHTS team in collaboration with systems integrator OneGroup S.r.l., exemplifies how modern lighting can contribute to the enhancement of cultural heritage.
The installation required the use of 51 ArcPod series projectors, including the
ArcPod48Q,
ArcPod27Q, and
ArcPod15Q models, to uniformly illuminate the side facades and towers of the castle. Accessories such as filters and barndoors were employed to precisely reach even the most architecturally complex areas, ensuring optimal light distribution.
The Arcpod series projectors were chosen for their ability to reproduce a wide range of colors and for their IP66 certification, which confirms their resistance to atmospheric agents. These features reduce the need for maintenance and ensure reliable performance in any weather condition, making them ideal for long-term outdoor installations like the Gaeta Castle.
The lighting design process was significantly facilitated by using PROLIGHTS fixtures within the Dialux software, which greatly reduced site inspection times and ensured perfect alignment between the project and the final execution.
“
The result has been excellent. The light coverage is uniform, and the ability to alternate between warm white lighting, ideal for highlighting the architecture, and customizable color combinations for special events, has exceeded our expectations,” commented the client.
