PROLIGHTS products were used to illuminate the new exhibition “«Cathars» Toulouse dans la croisade” , curated by the Saint-Raymond Museum in Toulouse. The exhibition explores the events and developments of the crusade against the Albigensians and the issue of Cathar heresy in the 12th century. Featuring over 300 artifacts, the exhibition is hosted by both the Saint-Raymond Museum and the Jacobins Church in Toulouse.
Given the scale of the exhibition, it was necessary to develop a lighting setup that could effectively highlight the narrative of the show. This responsability was assigned to OnStage31, a company specializing in scenic lighting. To realize the lighting setup, OnStage31 relied on ESL, PROLIGHTS distributor in France, selecting over 160 PROLIGHTS fixtures including EclMiniProfile, EclGalleryProfile, and Mosaico FX100.
The fixtures were strategically deployed to enhance the exhibition spaces optimally. EclMiniProfiles were used for general illumination, providing high-quality light and silent operation thanks to their compact size and fanless convection cooling. EclGalleryProfiles, installed at the top of the exhibition halls, illuminated the artifacts with 16°- 32° zoom optics. Additionally, the Mosaico FX100 fixtures were employed to project fire effects on the exhibition title, utilizing the animation wheels and half-color wheels.
