The tenth series of X-Factor, Italy is breaking ratings records on Sky UNO. The talented creative team of Massimo Pascucci, Director of Photography, and Marco De Nardi, Lighting Designer, chose to use a range of Prolights products to give them the tools to enhance the wide variety of performers and performance styles.

 

The impressive scenic design is dominated by nearly 400SqM of Prolights AlphaPIX6 LED display, broken into 30 seperate screens, to deliver a stunning video element that critics described as“futuristic”. On stage, the lighting design includes 50 Prolights AIR6PIX LED effects battens, 40 SUNRISE4 LED blinders, 22 AIR18Z LED effects fixtures, 12  PIXIEBEAM LED beamlights and 60 HALUSTRIP LED battens.

 

The technical production is supplied by AMG International who made a further substantial investment in Prolights to support the high profile series.

 

Walter Pizzi, technical manager for AMG commented: "The installation was always going to be very challenging. At first, we faced the installation and management of 400sqm of LED screen. There are 30 screens distributed on stage with the central frame divided into 2 and motorized to create a curtain for the artists entrance, but as expected the AlphaPIX6 performed flawlessly. The Air6PIX proved a perfect fixture for the backdrop in amongst the screens, giving huge creative flexibility. We use the warm-white Halustrip battens constantly around the stage and on many of the props.”

The series continues weekly into December with host Alessandro Cattelan, and features the jury of Alvaro Soleil, Manuel Agnelli, Fedez and Arisa.
